3 Writing Strategies To Encourage Viral Content

By

As a writer, it can become extremely frustrating if your content does not receive much attention. You put all that effort into creating the content, and nobody even bothers reading it!

Viral content doesn’t just happen, you know. It is a planned occurrence. It is something that can be influenced by our writing style.

If you want to see your posts wander endlessly across the internet, take a look at these three writing strategies.

Become a Storyteller

I can’t emphasize enough the power of storytelling in your writing. To properly connect with your audience, to spark emotions such as empathy, and to encourage interest and inspiration, you need to become a storyteller.

Your content needs to tell a story, your story. Talk about your life, what you have learned, and how it affected you.

As a result, your audience will become more connected to you than ever before, they will share it to their friends, and your posts will become viral.

Humor Your Audience

Using humor within your writing comes easier for some writers than it does for others. The key thing to remember is to not go over the top, for fear of insulting your audience.

Instead, try and create a type of insider humor, something that only your target audience will find funny.

This way, you create a sort of comradeship for your audience within your niche, and they will grow to love you and your writing more than ever before.

Using Controversy

Controversy is actually a very risky, but it has the potential to achieve great things, when done correctly.

The idea is to draw attention to you and your blog by either making light of a certain topic, or attacking that topic, or even a collection of bloggers, or maybe even a particular popular blogger.

Essentially, you are just trying to bring a great deal of attention to yourself by challenging opinions. Some will love you as a result; others will grow to hate you.

Either way, the increase exposure and attention will do wonders for your blog, the traffic it receives, and the number of links it has pointing to it.

Although I give away a LOT of info, I do promote some third party products that I use and find great value in.
Usually, I will receive a commission when these products are purchased from this site.
But as I said, I NEVER promote anything unless I find it valuable in my own business.
