Are You A Wanna-Be Entrepreneur? 10 Signs You Are

By

I wrote this post after reading one of Perry Marshall’s newsletters. Perry’s writing is much better than mine, but I think this summary will really hit home for some of you.

1. Wanna-be’s only dream. Entrepreneurs ACT!

2. Wann-be’s drive any kind of traffic they can. Entrepreneurs focus more on converting.

3. Wanna-be’s focus on making sales 24/7. Entrepreneurs build their list.

4. Wanna-be’s need the perfect plan. Entrepreneurs test and tweak along the way.

5. Wanna-be’s crumble with a failure. Entrepreneurs know how to fail fast.

6. Wanna-be’s worry about “looking stupid” to friends and family. Entrepreneurs will trade long-term success for short-term embarrassments.

7. Wanna-be’s wait until they have all the right tools in place. Entrepreneurs will dive in naked.

8. Wanna-be’s too often feel entitled. Entrepreneurs know better.

9. Wanna-be’s blame themselves after failure. Entrepreneurs blame the idea.

10. Wanna-be’s quit. Entrepreneurs regroup.

Thanks Perry!

  1. Steve hate to admit it but it just so happens I am guilty of most and luke warm on acting when the positive invites,

Hang tough and keep on keeping on and I will be in there with both feet during 2012.

Merry Christmas and much coming success.

My comment: this post to me is so reassuring. It make me step back, to examine my thoughts, and actions.

This post can be used as a YouTube skit: maybe show every point for 5 seconds with some nice instrumental music in the background. Maybe show each point in different fonts and colors to vary it. You can add pictures or even short 3 to 5 seconds video representing each point. Example:

Wanna be entrepreneurs dream- so you might show a cartoon character sleeping with the cloud over his head and the dream inside the cloud. Oh! Sleepy Smurf would be perfect. Maybe use the whole Smurf Village as an example. Every Smurf is different I believe you can find all ten points in that cartoon.

Another great thing to do is frame it. Retype it in any font and just hang it up around your work station or a little stand up frame on your desk.

This post from Perry is short and to the point. When I read it, it tells me one thing: I am not a wanna-be.

    Thank you Steve.

No Problem Wiley! I will be here! I always like to think of one of my Mother’s favorite sayings about “inch by inch”. That’s the good thing about Internet marketing. It’s all accumulative. So any little steps you can take will add up and be of value.

Cool Robert! I like those ideas! Very creative!

    Hi Steve.
Most of what you said about being a wannabe,is true. You do have a habit of making people think, and i am a perfect example of this,as with all of the information overload that hits the inbox,i find it very distracting and i tend to go awall from time to time.I have the website and the hosting account but find it very hard to concentrate. That is why i keep all of your emails, because you are one of the few people that make any sense.
Hope you had a great christmas, and all the very best for the new year.

    Thanks John!

Yes, focus is a problem for all of us at times. My advice: It’s not that hard to get a simple plan in place. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Learn what works for other people and then do your own thing with it. But mostly, it’s up to you to take the massive action required. Make it a habit. Do something on your plan’s list everyday…not matter what.

Although I give away a LOT of info, I do promote some third party products that I use and find great value in.
Usually, I will receive a commission when these products are purchased from this site.
But as I said, I NEVER promote anything unless I find it valuable in my own business.
