By

Video is one of the best (and easiest) ways to add some “Pizazz” to your site! Now days, it is almost expected of great site to have plenty of great video content.

I’ve put together here a few tutorials which show the basic steps for incorporating video marketing into your business.

Add Video To WordPress:

Adding Video With a Flip Video Camera:

Note: The Kodak cameras are great too.
Plus, they have an external mic option.

Video Submission Software:

Rank Your Video High in Google:

Although this video was created for local businesss owners,
the SEO aspect applies to all niches.

  1. Video is the future of the Internet. If you are not at least investigating your possible video options you are doing your IM business a dis-service. I was reading yesterday about .tv domains. The theory is that people will associate the domain with video. GoDaddy is charging around $37 for .tv extensions.

Don’t wait to integrate video into your business plan.

    Hi Steve,

I have been doing a lot of experimenting with this but just a quick question?
can you write for me the code you were using to create a break in wordpress.

I seem to be having a lot of trouble with that, some of my themes vary with
what they like in the html, I can’t understand that???

I know it’s such a small thing but I would really appreciate it….

Love this series of video’s, your way of explaining things makes it so simple,
No wonder you were a teacher…

    Thanks and all the best….Peter

  6. Steve says:

No, that is not a small question…. I fight with that issue myself 🙂

    I use a lot.

    I also wrap text in

I also insert a white period sometimes.

This issue is probably the most annoying thing there is about WrodPress. It’s such an awesome software but for this. I’m sure others who are better coders than I am have it all figured out. But a lot of us fight it.

  7. Peter says:

    Thanks Steve,

Do you know then where I can get this code that will perform a break like you have done in the video, or any other code that can be used in wordpress.

I guess I should really do more searching in Google I might find something there that might help.

I will let you know when I have my videos up and running, I am still very excited even though It’s taking time, something I don’t have a lot of, but what I have I use for learning about IM…

    Thanks again,

    All the best….Peter

  8. Steve says:

Hi Peter….what exactly do you mean by “…perform a break like you have done in the video”.

  9. Peter says:

    Hi Steve

It was when you made a gap between the heading and where your video is, making a space between them.

I think the code was   If it’s the same code as the space bar when you need more than one??? (so I have just learnt)

I will try this and see if it works…

Thanks again for this, it’s great that you converse with us.

    All the best….Peter

  10. Peter says:

Hey Steve, The code was not shown in the above comment but I’ll try it again but with a space between each digit.

    Here it is: & n b s p ;

    Hopefully it shows above.

    Thanks and all the best….Peter

  11. Steve says:

Oh, in that case…here’s how I like to do that:

I put it in visual mode….I enter key and center right where I want the video to appear. All the spacing is already correct in visual mode. I think type in xxxx right were I want the video. Then I go to html view and find the xxx and just paste the video code onto the xxx..replacing it.

But the code to make the spaces is Your video code would go inside those tags.

  12. Steve says:

Oh, that is a hard line break you show with that code….that will work too. But keep in mind, if you put that in in HTML mode and then change the mode to visual mode, that code will be stripped out.

It’s a real pain in the rear. Sometimes I’ll get it perfect in HTML view and then forget next time and select visual and I’ll lose all that type of HTML formatting.

  13. Peter says:

    Thanks Steve so much,

that little xxxx trick is a good one I have learnt to do that and it saves you a lot of looking and “where do I put it” etc.

I guess as wordpress progresses it will sort all these little pain in the rear problems but as for now, it is still a fantastic platform.

I am learning more things each time I get in to the dashboard, so much so I have set up a site just to keep experimenting with, not promoting anything, just learning as much as I can about it…

Thanks again Steve, I’ll stay in touch.

    All the best….Peter

Although I give away a LOT of info, I do promote some third party products that I use and find great value in.
Usually, I will receive a commission when these products are purchased from this site.
But as I said, I NEVER promote anything unless I find it valuable in my own business.
