   Good ideas for finding your niche. A point for all when researching your niche, you may want to use http://www.google.com and find the current top sellers. Find out what people are reading about. You will want to research keywords with keyword tools such as a keyword weapon . You need to discover which keywords are being searched for frequently.

   Hi Steve, remember me I’m the guy with triplets that you got started. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I wanted to let you know a couple things. I ended up in a long conversation with a gal that works for go daddy and spent quite a bit of time telling her about you and how you got me motivated. She said she speaks with people all the time that are hung up and don’t know where to start. She does some web work on the side. I think I’ll end up getting her to pass word of you around.

   every once in a while I run into people that I share my story of you motivating me. I hope something works with her so in some way I can help you grow.

   Lastly I wanted you to know I’m beginning to kick some butt with my irs sites and policecode.org site. I don’t know if you remember i tested against google and they banned my police codes.org but I knew it was good. Finally in jan they put me back in the index and now i’m almost at 500 unique visitors a day and a steady increase.

   I just wanted to drop in and say hello and ask how was your Thanksgiving holiday? I hope you and yours are doing well.

   I love studying your site because it’s so dipped in reality. I often feel like your Jack Nicholson s character Colonel Nathan Jessup in a “Few Good Men.”

   Because your trying desperately to make sure that we lean what the “truth” is about successful Internet marketing, that way we can hopefully, learn to handle it!

   Two quick questions:

   1.) I’m aggressively trying to create some quality back links to my small business marketing blog, by using blog commenting.

   Does it do me any good to comment on a relevant marketers youtube channel or (since I’m) trying to create quality back links, concentrate solely on commenting on their blogs?

   2.) also does it make sense to manually submit my site to the various directories, the way one of the video’s on your youtube channel suggests?

   I realize that manually submitting takes a while, but I figure I can realistically do 5-15 per day and just be consistent.

   Will manually submitting my URL to these various directories you refer to on your youtube video, help my overall SEO rankings in any meaningful way?

   Hi Mark, sorry for the late reply!….It’s great to hear from you!

   1. No, the youtube comments don’t help you with respect to SEO for your site….but they do help if you spend enough time on YouTube and have a great channel yourself to churn traffic to.

   2. Now days, it’s best to submit one article to just one or two of the top directories. If you use any type of article submission software to submit to many directories, be sure to use some method so that there are a WIDE variety of anchor texts spun into the mix. Do not submit one article with the same anchor text to many different directories.
